Introduction
Sometimes life changes so completely that there is no going back to the way things were.
Someone you love dies. A relationship ends. A career disappears. Your financial security collapses. Your health, family or circumstances change. Sometimes there is a single devastating moment. Other times, one thing after another falls away until you look around and barely recognize the life you are living.
Grief is not always about mourning a person. You can grieve a relationship, an identity, a future, a sense of security or the version of yourself that existed before everything changed. You can even find yourself grieving the life you were certain you were going to have.
In this episode of Jenuine Healing on News for the Soul, world-renowned energy healer, Jen Ward and Marvin Schneider explore the energetic imprints left behind by grief, loss and life-altering events—and what it takes to begin moving again when the life you knew is gone.
You Don’t Have to Pretend You’re Fine
One of the most difficult aspects of profound loss is the expectation that eventually you should simply get on with things. You are supposed to march forward like a good soldier, put the smile back on your face and resume your place in the world.
But underneath that smile, you may still be mourning the petals of what once seemed like your perfect life scattered in the wind.
You may be grieving more than what actually happened. You may also be grieving everything that was supposed to happen next. The relationship that was meant to last. The career that was supposed to provide security. The plans you made together. The person you thought you would become.
The SFT tapping in this episode does not ask you to deny that pain. It moves directly through the loneliness, disappointment, regret, lost potential and despair that can become energetically embedded when life takes a direction you never chose.
When Loss Becomes the Story of Your Future
There is a difference between experiencing something devastating and allowing that experience to become the blueprint for everything that comes afterward.
After enough disappointment, you can begin expecting the next shoe to drop. Hope becomes dangerous because you have already experienced what it feels like to have your hopes shattered. You can start seeing yourself as someone whose best days have already happened, watching your life become a dull gray version of what it once was.
That is where grief can become more than grief. The energetic imprint of what happened can begin influencing what you believe is still possible.
The tapping moves through this progression with powerful imagery: plummeting into an abyss of despair, being dragged beneath a sea of despair and then finding the stairs out of the pool. The movement is significant. Healing is not presented as erasing what happened. It is about no longer allowing what happened to determine where you must remain.
Getting Back Into the Game of Life
You can’t expect the past to be suddenly rewritten. What was lost will not magically return. Instead, your job is to find the possibilities that exist alongside what happened.
Perhaps that is one of the most important distinctions when your life has been profoundly altered. Moving forward does not necessarily mean rebuilding the life you had. Sometimes that life really is gone. What remains is the possibility of discovering what can exist now. The invitation is to stop allowing the most devastating chapter of your life to write every chapter that follows.
