Introduction
What if the parts of yourself you have spent a lifetime trying to avoid are the very parts you need to face before you can become fully empowered?
Many awakening paths encourage you to move toward the light — to become more loving, compassionate, forgiving and conscious. But in this episode of Jenuine Healing on News for the Soul, world-renowned energy healer, Jen Ward and Marvin Schneider explore a deeper proposition: you cannot become whole while rejecting parts of yourself. Through an extended SFT Tapping healing, the episode explores what it means to own the shadow without becoming it, and embody the light without denying what has been hidden.
You Cannot Become Empowered by Running Away from Yourself
The shadow can encompass everything you have rejected, feared, suppressed or refused to acknowledge about yourself —shame, anger, mistakes, capacity for the abuse of power and the experiences you would rather forget. Jen challenges the idea that spiritual development is simply about learning to be “good.” When you spend your life trying to remain within an acceptable version of yourself, you can end up running from the totality of who you are.
This creates a profound contradiction: you want to become empowered while simultaneously fearing your own power. Within the Jenuine Healing understanding of the eternal soul, unresolved energetic engrams may extend far beyond the experiences you consciously remember. The purpose of facing the shadow is not to identify with those experiences, but to confront, release and transcend what continues to influence you.
Jen also distinguishes between power and empowerment. Power is taken from others; empowerment comes from within. Owning the shadow means becoming conscious enough of your relationship with power that you no longer need to suppress our strength for fear of abusing it. You can instead reclaim that strength and use it consciously.
From Shadow Work to Embodying Your Light
The SFT Tapping healing during this event progressively moves through fear, shame, unworthiness, inherited patterns, suppressed brilliance and fear of power. Rather than remaining focused on darkness, however, the session increasingly turns toward empowerment, light and love. You don’t transcend darkness by becoming obsessed with darkness. You transcend it by refusing to abandon your own light.
Owning your capacity for anger does not mean becoming angry. Recognizing your capacity to misuse power does not mean abusing it. Owning the shadow means bringing what has been unconscious into awareness so that it no longer operates unseen. The destination of shadow work is therefore not darkness, but wholeness.
