We curse the water for pouring down
We blame it all for freezing
We curse it when it floods the ground
We curse it every season
We blame it when it collects in clouds
‘When downpours steal our thunder.
We poison it with toxic waste
And rob it of its wonder
We pour crude sugar in each glass
To make it much more tasteful
We desecrate its purity
Abuse it, and are wasteful
Taken for granted, what is vital to us,
May be part of our decline
Others can dis what’s 75% of them.
I will be grateful for mine.
