If there is someone who you work with, a relative, or neighbor that you don’t get along with, go out of your way to do something kind for them. Break down the walls of resistance between you and them. Perform a kindness for them or give them a gift with no strings attached that will open their heart a bit. But be sure to do it with no expectation of receiving one ounce of appreciation in return. Do it so that you can show them what unconditional love looks and feels like.
If you have resistance to doing this, it is all the more reason to do so. It is not to win them over or to try to change them, it is to open yourself up to that feeling of being vulnerable to Love and to melt your own scars and battle wounds. What ever they receive from the exchange is personal to them and not your concern. DO it for yourself, and do it as a gesture to add more love into the world.
If we can’t let go of the resistance in our own lives and attract more love to ourselves, how can we possibly expect to see a change in the world at large. The world is a reflection of our own lives. May it reflect true humanity, compassion and Love.
