Anger is just a feeling.
For many lifetimes, we have been whipped into a frenzy and pointed into the direction of an enemy. We have forgone reason, shot first and justified later. But we are more conscious now.
When feelings of anger come, we want to aim them at someone. But if we do that, they are a weapon. Just as we are able to drop the aim of a gun, we can let go looking for a target for our anger.
You can just drop carrying anger and let it sink into the ground. Imagine it dissolving like a stain on a detergent commercial or see it as a black cloud. Imagine blowing on it and turning it white. Use any mental imagery that helps you to not own the anger as a fuel, a reason or an excuse.
