A client came to me for help with panic attacks. She told me that she felt overwhelmed and that she thought that she was going to die. Both feelings are forms of processing experiences. Our thoughts and feelings are not who we are. They are gauges for maneuvering our way around the Universe.
Feelings and thoughts are like the fingertips of the body They are only aspects of our essence. They are tools to guide us to a greater truth.
We did a lot of work around the issue and she had an ah-ha moment. She realized that meditation was a way to separate from the thoughts and the emotions to get a better understanding of the greater self.
